The Leica EM UC7 prepares semi- and ultra-thin sections, as well as smooth surfaces required for imaging by LM, TEM, SEM, and AFM. Also available is the EM FC 7 cryochamber, which allows for preparation of ultrathin cryo-sections at temperatures between -15 °C and -185 °C. A variety of samples ranging from frozen biological material to polymers and rubbers can be sectioned.
